The East Central Area Literacy Council will be providing virtual volunteer training workshops in August and September.

The workshops will provide an overview of the opportunities to help adults complete their high school education, learn English as a new language, and/or to become US Citizens.

Virtual sessions are scheduled periodically.

Jessica Horn is the volunteer coordinator and will provide the training. She works as an adult education instructor and orientation specialist. She will provide an overview of the opportunities and answer questions about working with students enrolled in the local adult education program or as a member of the county literacy council.

Following their training and orientation, volunteers make a commitment of just a few hours a week.

There are many roles that a volunteer may fill. You can find more information about the ways you can help by visiting https://ecaliteracy.org/volunteer/.
